Eric received his M.S. in Mechanical Manufacture and Automation from South China University of Technology in 1999. After working as a tooling engineer for two years, Eric started his IP career in China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. from 2001, where he passed the qualification examination for patent attorney in 2004. In 2010, he co-founded a medium-sized IP Law Firm, and worked as the chief operations partner in charge of all the professional works in the firm. 

Eric is skillful in drafting application documents, domestic and international prosecution, reexamination and invalidation procedures, and relevant administrative litigation and infringement litigation. As a team leader, Eric has won many important invalidation cases on behalf of petitioners or patentees, with a success rate as high as 80%. He is also experienced in strategic planning and IP portfolio managing, and is a major training lecturer for several leading state-owned enterprises. While Eric is also comfortable working in many areas of technology, he is particularly proficient in the technical areas of mechanical equipment, machining, molding, vehicle engineering, medical device, wind energy, lighting device, display, and home appliance, etc. 

Eric received his further trainings with Böhmert & Böhmert in Munich, Germany in 2005, and with Global Patent Operation of General Electrical in the United States in 2009.
